weekly Fooly's 52 for 2022 - Week 38 : Look Up

Sometimes the best shots don't have to be in sharp focus though.
That said, if you are re-shooting, I think I would aim for the spot where the coffee (I think) pour is making the well.

I agree that it ticks the box Simon, but I find the line running up the back to be distracting. It's bugging me that the reflection in the glass doesn't line up with the line behind even though I know that it shouldn't...now that I've written about it, my eye keeps going back to it... :$

Quick of the mark but I agree that for me the point of focus would be better where the straw meets the froth.

Nice image for the theme, is the MF a bottle opener? If so, that's really cool!

Lovely composition. The background works well and it's nicely lit.
I confess I spent a few moments wondering what beeks were  I'm not sure if I should head to Specsavers....

Nice shot - beer in the glass would be better :)

Such an expression of concentration. You've really captured the movement.

A nice bit of panning and colourful.

Nice panning shot Simon.

Nice panning and you caught your daughter, maybe give more space on the left so she goes into that space.

As Fuji Dave said.

Thank you all for the comments :) - sorry I dont respond to them every week, I'm crap at personal admin.....

I'm a bit confused. Are these shots of models and scenery that you've painted? I like the colours and composition of the first the best.

I think you might be the only person that has managed an indoors alleyway shot, so well done :D

Yeah they are, I couldn't get out this week to a real alley, so I made one from scenery I've got laying about at home. You thought photography was expensive, it's got nothing on plastic crack....

Lol

I second this, as does my pile of shame (unbuilt, still in the box plastic crack lol).

I like the composition and the colours and the visual interest...

It's definitely something that I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley.

Week 7 : Heavy

A spot tidying the garage so I could build and install the gym, to then get an arty shot - or so it went in my head. One week, 3 van runs to the tip, new loft boarding, moving everything I own into the loft, and a profuse amount of swearing later, and we're almost there...

I've been weighting all week for someone to do a shot like this :naughty:

Nicely done :)

That definitely looks heavy to me. A crisp shot with good dof.. works very well in mono too.

Great shot Simon, the b&w suits it well.
Thank you :)
Well taken shot. Fits the theme very well and good bokeh.
Thank you :)
