I took this some weeks ago but just converted it to B&W - X-Pro1 and 10-24 converted in Efex

I love the way the wide lens captures the sky
 
Thats a nice capture @Marandmar, just a shame it's not reproduced as well on here as it is on 500px. it makes it look like the Houses of Parliment are soft.

I never thought of that tbh :) This is where I go wrong - composition is my weakness

I just saw the sky and thought it would look good through a red filter

This. Just because it wasn't a conscious decision, it doesn't mean you haven't 'seen' it ;)

one must always see the shot to decide whether to take it...unless you get a winner when your dog pulls the lead and jerks your shutter finger or the pram falls over and you get
