Gate(d) 1 by Mandy Miles, on FlickrThat is fine gate you have captured it well and not lost the detail in the landscape behind
I think I know where this is, and feel you have selected a nice angle that conveys the rural isolation of the area really well.
I like the gate shot in both mono and colour. Very good angle to isolate it against the sky.
Lovely cottages in your area, I like the composition with the water, but I wonder if you could have gone a bit wider on the right hand side.
The first version of your gate picture does it for my. Impressive gate, keeping the riff-raff out of an empty fieldGreat PoV!
Very nice image for Gate(d) Mandy love the compostion and how the gates stand out from the background.
Nice image Mandy, I actually really like the B&W second one you've put up, looks very moody and atmospheric!
This gate is quite bizarre, what's it doing there, where's the palace gone, but I must say the setting makes for more interesting. Great detail.
Hi Mandy
Hi Mandy
Hi Mandy
Hi Frank
??? er.. where's my text.. my brillaint analysis of why i liked your pic so much, the gate, the clouds the contrast, the moodiness of it all :banghead: .. i really don't make a habit of saying just Hi to strange women i'll make it known![]()
people (2) by Mandy Miles, on FlickrJelly baby people is a nice shot even if it is a pabd. Good colours and a nice BG, just needs a slight straighten
Your linky is in the wrong thread too![]()
Well someone had to do it - nice grouting![]()
Thanks for dropping by, your not wrong they are juicy, I had to eat them after they had served their purpose lol.Don’t know what else I can say other than that is one juicy picture![]()
I like that Mandy nice fun image.
I does like its not quite level but that may just be me.
And what did you do to the poor little green one to make him/her cry![]()
Good idea for the theme, jelly babies are people too, I wonder if you could have composed it to avoid the grout line
Yes, I guess jelly babies are people too... Nice colours and letterbox crop works well!
Not into lego figures, but Jelly Babies I love.
Pete
BG could be better but you know that a bit more effort would have helped
Hi Mandy and good luck with your 52 this year, really like your choice of subject, those Jelly Babies are very cute, I do agree with Allan on the background, but you get to eat the props that’s a real bonus.
Good old Jelly Babies - cute and colourful and photogenic. I used them for 'Crowd' a couple of years ago and it was great fun 'tidying up' afterwards![]()
Is that your kitchen Mandy? I think we've seen those tiles before at some point
I don't mind that you've used this as a background, it works as the background and work surface are pretty well colour matched.
