This is a monthly challenge and is open to all. I will post a new theme drawn at random from a list of themes (Takes-on 2019 theme suggestions) at the start of each month. The challenge is to take up to 6 photos to the theme "Industry" in the month of August 2019 and post them in this thread. Constructive comments are encouraged and should also be posted in this thread. There is a discussion thread for general chat, ideas, etc. The first post in the discussion thread also includes links to this year's previous themes.

Just to reiterate, photos on the subject "Industry" should be shot and posted this month, August 2019, feel free to jump in whenever you like. Happy shooting :)

@Cobra, please sticky this thread and unsticky July when you get chance

Not posted anything for a while and this is far from being a 'good' photo.
Old estate mill, last operated around 1970 (around when I last saw the place). Privately owned by the last miller it's substantially complete and I was after some exterior views. Waded through chest height nettles and poked lens through small gap to get this.

Really like that Stan, rust always make for good colours and textures

Hi guys ... some pretty industrial-looking images so far. (y)

I've been on the lookout for some stuff like the above, but with no luck. But I came across the hairdressing industry in action ... free cuts done outside!

@d00d - interesting shots, I'm sure it's an industry

@Peter B - good take and nice to see some film in here, thanks for joining in

Looks like AndrewFlannigan got suspended but the shot looks like it could do with a bit of an anticlockwise rotation
