weekly Clives 52 in 2021

I like this very much, lovely detail, really nice colours and nicely exposed.

Week 7 Depict a film.

Beaches
The beaches of Bognor Regis looking West and Felpham looking East.
Our weekend walk from Felpham to the Pier and back but only when the tide is out so we can stay away from everyone.

Nice pair, nice find, good tones and textures.

Film ... On The Beach? Liking pic #2

Another fan of #2 here!

It feels much more balanced from a light perspective than #1, and the colours and composition work really well.

No 2 for me as well. I thought you had done my thought but am now happy you had another title in mind!

Nice colours, I'm assuming they manage to fix themselves securely in place

A fan of the second image, I really like the patterns created on the left hand side

Are we in Middle-Earth by any chance?
West Sussex Paul...but a lot of people with hairy feet!

Nice pair, nice find, good tones and textures.

Thanks Nick the second one facing East so sun not so harsh.

Ah I think we have the name of the film: Beaches.

Is it My Groyne's Longer than yours"
Available in specialist stores.
PS - I also prefer number 2.
Thanks Kell, you can't beat a long Groyne

I thought it was "There and Back Again".
Close Paul

I had thought "the beach" but beaches works as well.
I also prefer #2, particularly with the green colouring of the sea
Thanks Steve

Thank you Joan

Can't beat a good beach shot.
Cheers Dave

I definitely prefer the second photo Clive with some colour in the sea, a perfect photo to suit your film choice.
Thank you Susie, was a lovely coloured sea.

Thank you Stuart the Limpets are hard to move!
The colours looking east were very nice that day.

#2 for Beaches - nice colour and lines in there.
Thank you Helen

Nice shots. Bang on theme,
Thank you Bob

Week 8 Half

Half Crown coin. This is actually Fuji Dave's first wages, rumour has it that Dave went out and bought a suit with this coin, with the change he went to the cinema and then bought fish and chips on the way home. I bought the coin off of his tailor who had kept it as a souvenir of his meeting with Dave.

I like the composition and colours.

Film
Two lovely looking beach shots.

Half
Nice close up.

Half Crown ... something different for the theme. And it's incredible what some people could buy with it back in the day.

I love the simplicity of that. Nothing to consider other than the detail in the subject, which is great.

Beltin’ - I remember getting one if those as pocket money :)

Half
An interesting choice of angle for the coin, I must admit to rotating my iPad to see it aligned. Personally to see the detail I prefer it with the coin aligned

haha, great back story to the coin ;) I'm just too young to remember 'old' money but this is a great close up image.

Great story behind your half crown. Sad to say I do remember them in circulation... although I was probably too young at the time to have that much money!

Week 9 Reflections

Three images two taken on a local bit of water called the Rife, the Mandarin taken on a small pond nearby.
All taken on a bright sunny day, the first one was taken as the sun shone through a cloud producing this lovely effect.

Yep. Agree with Paul. That 1st shot is great. Lovely colour and the reeds frame it nicely.

Some lovely images there, but I think you chose the strongest for the main thread - really nice

Agree with all the above comments. First one is the best image for me.

I love the way it messes with your (my) head as the reeds in the foreground are upright, but the reflections in the background are upside down. It's like a reed mobius strip.

Also love the colours in the Mandarin.

Lovely bright images, I've only just seen the sun in 10 days past here, I too think the you chose the right one for the front page.

A really nice sky reflected in the water, The Mandarin duck is a cracker of a shot.
Good reflections in the 3rd one as well

Pete

Nice set of pix. Duckie does it :)
