Hi, @ancient_mariner this looks delicious! Sloes don't grow around here. Around Fladungen they can be found. At the Hotel Sonnentau we buy sloe marmalade when we stay there to celebrate
my birthday. -

A happy birthday to you when it next comes around. Sloes are extremely bitter, even when fully ripe, but the good flavours can be extracted using gin and sugar, and the drink is excellent. I did try making chocolate with sloes embedded, but it really didn't work.
