This is my first time shooting a 52'er. I'm trying to lose weight so doing the 10,000 steps a day also. This gives me the perfect opportunity to get out shooting. I'm going to shoot this all with a x100f if I can so one camera one lens.

Good luck Robert. I may join you. I lost 3st since last January by going out for a walk each day (and eating healthily...) I've been pondering another stab at a 52 for a couple of years just for the fun of it.

Well done that's a hell of a lot of weight to lose. I found it easier to give up smoking than dieting! I think I'm pretty obsessed with food however finding out I'm half a stone away from being in the obese catogery and a resting heart rate of over 90 BPM has been a wake up call!

Good combination of exercise and photography.
I'm trying to do the same by doing a 52 and at least 30 mins of exercise per day.
Will be interested in the results of both things :)

That's a good start I've missed the first one already! Can I slip in my entry late?

3lbs lost in a week, I'm very happy. I'd love it if I could manage another 13 by my summer holiday.

Good for you. Well done!

Also - week 0 is a nice one.

Very nice shot Sir, love the silhouette and colours.(y)

George.

What a cracking shot of the silhouette of the dog walker and his pal, great lighting and small waves in shot, plus like the slight reflections too and ripples in the wet sand. A great start to your 52 Robert (y)

Thanks both. I'm a lucky guy to have this on my doorstep.

Welcome aboard, Robert, and that's a lovely shot to start your 52. Beautiful warm sunset colours, ripples on the sand, two sharp silhouettes and some lovely muted colours in the sky and sea (y)

Good luck with your 52 and your diet/exercise regime. What great motivation to get out and about with your camera :)

Hi Robert

Great start to your 52. Lovely sunset and good silhouettes. Nice shot :D

Really nice shot, glad you submitted the optional week 0 :)
If I may offer one possible suggestion, the (I assume) advertising board on the cliff edge could be removed using spot removal or the clone tool, as I do find my eye drawn to it.

Yeah I know what you mean. :agree:

I really like like the colours are great and I like the silhouette effect and the reflections on the wet sand

Hi Robert and welcome

Fab silhouette, sky and reflection (y)

What an interesting shot and take on theme Robert, like the shadows and pavement and getting the bloke in shot too. Think you forgot to clone out the bloke on the LHS, but still a good shot :)
never noticed that!

Its one thing I've learned so far is I've got a rubbish eye for detail. It doesn't help Editting on a 6in screen.

Yes the bloke in the shot is more important than the gate!

I really like this. It's not often you can have so much fun in the winter sun.
