weekly De88ie's 52 2016 - Week 49 50 51

Hi Debbie, that's a good spot for Stone. It's well taken and the shadows definitely add something. I'm not sure if it's near to you, but I'd be tempted to try to shoot it early morning/late evening to get some more coloured light onto the stonework? The crop and POV you've chosen is interesting - I wonder if there are other ones which also work? A great subject to have a real play with if it's handy, IMO (y)

what a brilliant idea ;) spot on theme they're harder to capture than I expected

Pretty much as Dean said TBH, so all you gotta do now is take part of #1 part of #2 and merge them.
Shouldn't take too long :D

They are hard to capture and you've done well with both. I prefer the first because of the added interest factor with those leaves and bright sunshine.

LOL the mind boggles :D

Well spotted Debbie :)

That's a cracker for Signs :ROFLMAO: and don't think I'd want it as my address

Well spotted and well composed too as it would have been easy to take it face on (y)

I'm glad you all like the sign. I did wonder if it was a bit too safe as a theme, I like to be a little less obvious but i couldn't resist.

Debbie, the sign is great, like the OOF areas at the front.
Danger - Nice re shoot, nice against the blue sky. I really like the shadows on the left hand side

Hi Debbie.

Great DoF for Sign, well exposed and a great name too.

Dangerous is a good one and almost identical to an idea I had for the theme. I just couldn't time it right to get the right shot sadly. Lovely effort and I like the shadow falling down the middle giving a sense of depth.

Yep, that definitely looks a bit iffy to me too Debbie, nice idea and well taken too :)

Hi Debbie. What an amazing street name. Wonder what the story is behind that? excellent shot for Re-shoot. Love the combination of colours, particularly the bright blue sky and yellow crane, and the depth of detail.

I like the weird name in the undergrowth. And the dangerous structure with the blue sky through the windows (y)

Two decent captures, Debbie. The sign is funny and nicely positioned within the frame - just off centre enough and background not distracting (in fact it adds).

Reshoot is a solid shot. Doesn't really need context, so the tight framing is fine. Might be good though to get more/all of the crane in at the bottom?

"Scrog is a dialect word meaning scrubby - the lane is Scrog Lane, but it runs along a narrow field which looks like a long tongue!"

Hi Debbie. Three beautiful images; I like the delicacy and soft colour of the first, vibrancy of the second but the third tops the others for me because of that something extra with those feeding bees. Excellent detail.
