Pic(s) you took today - an open thread

Hi, I went to Andeer/CH. No pics of the Swiss mountains on my way there, because my SONY A7 let me down. It would not start, although it showed 63% charged when I set out.

I suppose the contacts in the body are corroded.

I had finished my Mole-Patrol visits by 1:30pm so I went lurking around some old churches.

Finished work today and went around to one of my rental properties, Over the weekend I had a report that the air vent had fell off ! So yesterday i went round to find the cover had been glued to the air flowing through the vent , God knows how it had stayed there in the first place ! As no vent was available off the shelf that was large enough I decided to make a wooden frame to reduce the size of the hole and give me something to screw a new vent to. I got the measurement so right that I had to hammer this frame in place I had intended to screw it in place. I need to re plaster it now and fit the new vent cover. Looking at this bodge I think if I had put more time and thought into it it could be made to look very rustic !

After shopping, walking the dog and cutting the grass we decided to have dinner outside with a few beers. While my wife was making a pizza I had a wander around the garden, first with my Contaflex with close up lenses then with a dslr and 85mm micro lens so I could compare the results when (if) the film is processed. And the dog got in on the act too......

It's that time of year for the "annual" transformation of the house and garden. I found these interesting petunias at the nursery. Had some nice sun today. Pix captured with the Canon R7.

Sometimes you don't even have to go out of your garden to get good pics.

An advantage of working from home is the ability to take a break and go outside with the camera for a few minutes. I'm always looking for opportunities around the house.

Years ago we burnt Witches as we thought they were responsible for all our problems fast forward to now and we are much more aware of where the problems really lie so this weekend I'm becoming the Government Member finder General not sure how many I will fit on this pyre but at least it will be a start. Mobile phone shot ( Ancient rubbish mobile phone)

Visitited the Hunterian Museum at the Royal College of Surgeons today and in the cafe there is this amazing image - several 1000's of the people who do such wonderful work putting seriously unwell people back on the path to a normal life

I sat and watched these videos for almost an hour - inspiring
