weekly rpn's 2019 Project 52 Week 52 - OUT-TAKES Added and COMPLETED

I thought that was the build at lands end originally, but now not so sure.
I agree that the light trails add a splash of colour and add interest to the shot.

Cheers, Tim. Almost the other end of the country in NE Scotland, Aberdeen Beach Ballroom. I read sometimes ago that a Liverpool band called The Beatles played there over 50 years ago in 1963!

Interesting choice Stan I like the reflection in the rather large puddle and yes it doesn't quite look straight

The moon is a bit of a pain on a tripod, it's amazing quite how quickly it travels through the frame (from experience of the blood moon some time back).

Agree, it's not an easy object to take for a sharp image apart from its movement also camera shake at that reach. There are specialist equipment and software available and one of the software is to stack hundreds of images together to get a reasonably sharp image but only available in Windows version and I'm on the dark side. :)

I like it, good use of the theme and very nice shot. Useful nor too for having a go myself sometime this winter

Hi Stan,

Very nice candid shot for old. The mono treatment works nicely too.
Flower is tack sharp and the water droplet add to it. Very nice.
Dull - the colour image for me. I like both the standard and wide but I think the wide shot just pips it for me.
Snappers choice in well taken with good colour and exposure.
Near - Thats a very good shot. It moves pretty darn quick at that focal length so well done for getting it as well as you have. I 'cheat' and use a driven mount - it makes quite a difference.

Thanks, Lee for the catch-up comments, very much appreciated.
Do you use any stacking software to get a sharp moon shot or just a single image?

I have used a couple of different pieces of software along with single shots. For planets including the Moon, it is typical to use a small chip camera in a video mode. Taking 2000 frames or so and stacking the best 50% using Registax or AutoStakkert. The small chip gives good apparent magnification. A high frame rate makes use of clear moments in the atmosphere. I have also used a standard camera attached to my telescope with essentially makes a 1200mm f4.8 lens.

Near
It may be boring (to you), but you've caught it well, it's nice and sharp and well exposed.

Terrible song and album but fitting for the theme, would have liked more Martians too.

Great shot and even better song too, cracking colours Stan.

Maybe round your way it is, but we seem to have lost most of the leaves round here.
Where are the Martians?

Thanks, guys. Have to admit a bit of Photoshop manipulation required there.

There are no such things as Martians or man landed on the moon, I have you know that the Earth is flat too! :naughty:
Oh, no let's not go there. ;) :exit:

Nice shot but the glasshouses draw my eye a bit too much.

Good for the theme - good song - fabulous album (if we're talking War of the Worlds) - esp the Phil Lynott bits :)

Thanks, Dave. Comment appreciated. Didn't know Phil was involved too, which tune/song is that?

He played Parson Nathaniel :)

Two terrific images Stan!(y)

Near: Not boring at all, I'm always fascinated with lunar photography, and this image is excellent. Not an easy subject to get right, but you have. Nicely done.
Song: Classic song and a most appropriate image to go with it. Very nice indeed.

Song
Good colours. I tend to agree with it oy (Dave)b about the glasshouse.

Song - I love the colours and the framing of the composition

Fab shot and perfect for the theme.
