It looks as though we have a good 50 people still in at the moment so pretty tough on the commenting side, I know not many people can comment on this many every week, but if we all comment on just a few it keeps the 52 spirits high as always... and the first month is nearly over already :)

The 52 is the main one for me to finish and not get behind or play catch up, I do think it will get better though once the weather picks up, plus I always try to comment on the shots put in :)

Yip, My only comfort is from Friday I became the proud owner of a lovely Ford Fiesta 1.2 Zetec 2010 in Silver and the place I have bought it from are going to service it for me, MOT it and refurbish two of my alloy wheels ( last owner kerbed them ). So at least with an appropriate person sat next to me I can continue to work on my manoeuvres to test standard as my instructor has given me very useful print outs to help.

Hopefully this'll make you smile a little, when my daughter was due to take her test, some years ago now, it snowed over night.
However the roads even the local ones were totally clear ( the gritters had been on the ball)

BUT the test centre decided to cancel at the the last minute :rolleyes:
They did have a cancellation, for a weeks time, so that was duly booked.

Guess what? yep it snowed over night the night before :D
this time there was laying snow, the roads were largely clear, but there was still "slush" on the roads, and snow on the road edges.
So, worse conditions from the previous week's that was cancelled.
For some inextricable reason they decided that tests would go ahead!

She passed first time :) ( well she had a good teacher ;) )
 
That's really annoying Mandy. I know how you feel as my driving instructor didn't turn up for 2 of my tests!!! (He was a long distance lorry driver and got caught away from base)
So, on the second no show, my old dad jumped into the passenger seat of my 'new car' (okay a knackered old mk1 escort) and we went down to the centre in that.
It evidently worked, 'cos I passed that time (after chuckling at the examiner walking around the car looking for something to fail the car on !)

Maybe make sure your fiesta is ready to go for your next test :)

Is it friday yet?

Yes peeps it is a bit annoying, but roll on the 28th and 29th of March. And thanks Cobra for your little story that did make me smile a bit.

Thank you very much for the lovely words folks, just back from the hospital, they are keeping mum in for tests and have my number if any change at all, will be back up tomorrow to visit her. Mum has had a lung infection for over 3 weeks and antibiotics have not done a thing, so when she fell today it was to get her in the best place as hopefully they can help, but it is not looking good as she is 84, thank god she has a strong heart.
 
Dave, 84 is young these days. I never saw my Mum for 20 years as she left my Dad for someone with money and a boat. Later on in years I met up with her and she came and had holidays with Dad and myself so the memories I have off her are precious. Dad was always saying to me to get out and take photos and I did, as you Dave must now and show your Mum the results. Take care.:)

My mum is 80 in a few weeks, but I am still her "little boy" so she tells me!

I know what you mean, and it'll never change, 92 in 3 weeks for my Mum, and still threatens me with the odd clip round the ear, although these days I have to kneel down so she can reach :D
 
Well the last 24 hours have been crazy, yesterday I was thinking the worst and after today`s hospital visit, I can now feel better. Whatever drugs they have given Mum have really helped and she was very chatty with me. She has to stay in for a couple of days, but hoping she might be out for the weekend end. I did pass on all the best wishes, to which Mum told me Do not stop your photography, as I don`t buy the cameras for you to not use, and not be silly and think I wont get through this infection, ( Think it was a clip round the ear for me ). Again I thank you all very much, as out of two sons, I am the only one who Loves his Mum. On a good note is it Thursday Yet.

It will be relegated to archive position but never-the-less you won't be disappointed . :p
