Happy new year everyone!
Lets hope I can remember how to do this.
Haven't really done much photography over the last year.
Good luck everyone.

Mono works well, especially when you have a naff sky to cope with, and I think mono works especially well for this kind of architecture (as we all know, they didn't have colour film back in Henry VIIIs era).

+1 for the mono Anita. Like the drag and the footprints that accentuate the lead in.(y)

:agree: with all the above though I would suggest a
keystone tweak ad some tonal taming…

I agree with the above the mono works really well and a nicely composed shot.

Hey Anita

Yup to B&W though I would love to have seen the gate from lower down giving more prominence (if that was at all possible), but wow they are wonderful looking buildings, I assume they are original and not reproductions ??

Great to see you back in, really looking forward to your shots again this year (y)

Hi Anita, welcome back

I like the close up, wide angle feel to the FG end of the gate.

Great photo, great composition, works well in B&W (y)

Week 1- good choice with monochrome - I prefer the original to the suggested tweak.

The Black an White really suits it and its a lovely building but it is a shame the gate blends into the background after the wall.
