Hi Anita good to have you back, a good shot on the gate theme and you did well not to blow the grotty sky. Like the shot in mono and also getting the gate drag marks at the bottom
Mono works well, especially when you have a naff sky to cope with, and I think mono works especially well for this kind of architecture (as we all know, they didn't have colour film back in Henry VIIIs era).
Yup to B&W though I would love to have seen the gate from lower down giving more prominence (if that was at all possible), but wow they are wonderful looking buildings, I assume they are original and not reproductions ??

Welcome back, Anita, and that's a lovely scene to start your new 52. I like the inviting open gate and the lead in to the interesting scene beyond. B&W looks the right choice, not just because of the bland sky but the details in those interesting buildings
