weekly Cobra's 2020 cataclysmic catastrophes Week 52 decorate and done!

They work for me - no shoe horn, and definitely a gob shot [emoji3]

Glad to see Harry's keeping busy! Although looks like he needs renaming to Arthur...

That was a bit easy, I took a years membership out for the zoo here in January after letting it lapse a couple of years ago, only managed to get there once before the lockdown

you must be missing it too.

Who doesn't love a gob shot? ;)
Absolutely Fi .. it was well over due :D

Got to be the famous gob shots for me :)
Cheers Dave.

Cheers Alex. Harry tried to convince me that he "Pulled" the sword But I'm sure it was just left there for him to polish ;D

That was a bit easy,
The hardest part was resisting temptation, till now Allan :D

BUGGER :(
At least most zoos seem to be saying membership will be extended by the length of time they are shut (y)

you must be missing it too.
Absolutely, I am. It was my favourite escape :(

The lions are great, not sure if it was the Lion Sleeps Tonight or 3 Lions. Harry and the wizards I like the first with the reflection.
Cheers Clive (y)
The final image should have been the give away :D

Lovely Lion shots Chris and I like the Harry pic referencing a great classic album.

Well it's got to be this hasn't it?
Yep the last image was the whim-away give away (y)

Always love big cat shots, but so as not to upset Harry, I'll also go with the first shot with the reflections - very nicely executed.
Thanks Bee :)

But I think Harry wins this week..
H : Whats the theme?
Me: Colour & technique is B&W
H: Oooo I can do that.
Me: not all at once you can't
H: Hold my beer!
So I sat him in front of photo shop and told him not to break anything!

(I make no claim to this image its the daft bugger in front of the screen)

hmm I see what you did there.... did Harry keep his colouring between the lines?

I like the complimentary colours in your flower but the out of focus stamen bothers me just a little. It reminds me of a triffid with tongues ready to devour the little beasties. Lots of detail!

Edit - I have to add I think it would be impossible to get the stamen in focus without stacking wizardry

I think Harry wins it, great fun in there (and colourful too)

Either one for me, can I loan Harry he's better at photoshop than I am (y)

Oh tough choice Chris I love the colours and detail in No 1 but it's got to be No 2 because well just because it made laugh.

Nice Honesuckle alien tentacle :)

Got to be the Harry shot for me Chris, he`s doing well in the images.
Thanks Dave, he's a little bugger with his "Photobombing :D

Thanks Bee, The colouring wasn't bad in the end :D
I agree I should really have "stacked it" but TBH I was in a bit of a rush.

I like the critters in the flower bud and Harry is spot on with his colourful in B&W.

Music
Good gob shots.

Colourful
You do seem to have a lot of problems with aphids on your honeysuckle.

ou do seem to have a lot of problems with aphids on your honeysuckle.
Every year Dom, they both get absolutely slaughtered, that is the "normal" yellow one and the red coral variety.
I would cut them both down, but :-
a) Its useful for hoverfly & Ladybird images, attracted to the aphids
b) its the only flowering plant that they touch in the garden.
So in a sense, its sacrificial.

Thanks for dropping by :)

Loving the Harry shot :LOL::LOL:
Thanks Helen :)

Hi Chris,

Nice set of gob shots for music and great to see Harry getting involved too.
Two good shots for Colourful. Love the macro with all the little critters in there. Lovely colour and super sharp.
Harry is definitely a winner though. He's very creative :)

He's far more creative than I am that's for sure :D

On to week 20 "something Old"

This "half Hunter" belonged to my Granddad.
I've no idea how old it it is, though I believe he acquired it second hand from a pawn shop.
A slight sad back story, he gave it to me just before my 18th birthday, as he didn't want his other grandson getting his hands on it.
looking back he must have known he was dying, although we as a family had no idea, but a few months later he did indeed die.
A nice family keep - sake (y)

We all know what the front of a pocket watch looks like so I went behind the scenes.
And tad sepia for the aging affect, ( it didn't work in B&W)

As for Harry, I thought he'd taken advantage of the newly offered freedom..
But No, he was in the garden meditating with his old friend Buddha,
Under the Yamadori ( collected from the wild) hawthorn Again no idea how old this is,
But its been in captivity nearly 10 years..
