The horizontals and vertical were compromised as I did not get them correct in camera ... the original 16 x 9 helped disguise this

Loving the VR postbox, it certainly is old. Not quite so sure on the composition, but you have to work with what you have.
You should be able to warp the original shot to straighten the doorway and slight perspective distortion of the horizontals. I would have also cloned out the yellow paint on the pavement.
Great bright colours, the pink nicely sets off the blues

Hi Bill. Welcome - hope you enjoy TP52. I quite liked the original too. The postbox was a primary feature for me in relation to the theme so had to be kept at all costs. Good composition and nicely exposed.

Great find Bill and a nice shot as well. Everything spot on - love the vibrancy and focus. May be worth a b&w conversion as Paul @Pads1980 suggests - I always think it gives an image an extra dramatic feel and this one with the bullet holes would fit in nicely with that.
