weekly rpn's 2017 Project 52 - Week 52 WEATHER Added *** COMPLETED ***

progress indeed they have been doing this to one of the main roads in Chester city centre recently they have nearly finished 12 months later also

Minimalist - the bars work well in both shots for me and the ever-so-important verticals are good too.

Progress - yep, that looks like typical slow roadwork progress to me! Hope it's done by next year as I shall be visiting Cyprus for the first time.

I love the blokes on the left having a smoke and a drink instead of working...

Thanks all for the comments and nice words, I've been a bit busy last week........socialising. :)

I'm still in Cyprus and was at the beach yesterday for a pleasurable lazy afternoon and spotted this scene, quickly grabbed the camera to capture for this week's theme.

Week 24 - Pleasure (sunny afternoon)

Cooling Down by Stan, on Flickr

That water looks very enticing.

Bang on theme, crit, well only what you could not control, like the empty sky.

Hope you had a dip :)

Cheers.

Very nice scene, surely fits the theme. The woman in the photo seems not quite right... does she have no legs or does it go really steep into the sea?

Thanks, Bernd. It does look odds because of the beach slope quite sharply initially then level off more gradually.

A nice take on theme, but we have all the hot weather here :D Very good shot as like the colours, but maybe a small crop from the bottom, to get rid of the sand LHSB.

Thanks, Dave. A very valid point about the sand is a bit of distraction.

Progress - Interesting shot there Stan, prior to reading your description I wondered if it were an ironic social commentary on the progress that the western world is making in it's "War on Terror" with blockades everywhere.

Pleasure - That beach does drop away quickly, doesn't it, presumably we're seeing a peeble ridge, because there is no evidnce of dampness right up against where we see the sea. Loving the blue of the sea and the young lady adding interest into the image.

Something a little spooky about this that I like. :)

Snap indeed, that's the second time :ROFLMAO: has to be the ant, great minds and all that

That water does look very inviting, don't normal like swimming but could definitely be tempted there :D That looks a bit of a mean ant bet it could give you a nasty nip. Love the eggs that made me laugh :D

That ant looks a bit vicious, nicely captured with a good sense of scale.

The ant looks actually huge! Nicely captured, and the eggs are a goon fun shot.

Thanks, Georgina. The water was lovely, crystal clean and warm. Pity I'm heading back to Scotland tomorrow :(

Ant on finger gives it great dimension. (y)

Thanks, David.

The ant shot for me Stan, that looks like it could give you a bit of a pinch !!! - well captured as I bet it didn't stand still long (y)

Cheers, Dean. I was lucky to get away without a bite. I think because it's trying to escape. :)

That fits the theme nicely Stan, and in this instance the heavy shadow helps the shot too for me, I wasn't sure on the crop, but see you took the arch from the bottom corner and have the face on the thirds too, so re-thinking after looking again it would likely look odd cropped in and be out of context, so works for me :) (y)

Hi Stan. The egg shot for Tiny, because it's amusing and nicely symmetrical
For Face, did you consider taking the shot from the other side or perhaps more straight on, to give a Picasso lighting effect.
