Week 35 - Fashion
I've had an absolutely lovely Bank Holiday weekend and taken absolutely loads of shots for this week's theme.
First, on Saturday there was a Best-Dressed Scarecrow competition organised by the local branch of the Rotary Club in the village where I'd popped out for a few bits and pieces
. But all the best ones were either inside or directly in front of shop windows and so there were far too many unwanted reflections
.
On Sunday we were in Manchester and it was Pride weekend
. But we were a day late for the big parade, so I'd missed all the wonderful flamboyant costumes and everyone seemed to have reverted to their Sunday scruffs
. However, walking past Piccadilly Gardens I noted that Queen Victoria was wearing her usual feathery fashion accessories
. But Manchester's dull grey pigeons were far too similar in colour to Queen Vic's statue to provide any decent contrast
.
Yesterday it was raining, and so I decided that the lovely new beach bag that I bought at the weekend for my next hols would make a great holiday fashion shot and cheer me up into the bargain
. But it was far too big and saggy to stand up straight for the camera, even when stuffed to almost bursting
.
So today I've finally cobbled this together - Cheap Fashion!
